Monuments in nature Route
In this hiking route we take you to the most beautiful monuments Nuenen has to offer, situated in and around the village’s center. The Park (Clemens Church, The Monastary (“Het Klooster”, House De Bleek, House with the orbs, the Kiosk, various sculptures), The Berg, (Nune Ville, Minister’s house, Vincent’s workshop, the old Court Hall, weavers’ houses, the old lime tree, Hildo Krop monument, village water pump) and the Houtrijk park (beautiful old trees, The Van Gogh Church, Villa Papenvoort, Old City Hall, little linnen factory, pond and view of the Mill). You receive information on the (Van Gogh) monuments, Nuenen in the 19th century, and whatever comes up for discussion. Brief and highly recommendable!
Duration: 1.5 – 2 hours. Entrance fee: 10.00 euros per person, with a minimum of 4 persons, the maximum of 8 persons. Please contact for consultation.
You can combine this tour outside with visiting Nune Ville, including a cup of coffee or tea, which lengthens the tour by 1,5 hour. Costs for a combined visit are 25 euros per person.

“Aardappeleters” route (Potato Eaters Route)
During this hiking tour we show you the spots were Vincent came to produce his most famours Brabantian artwork the Potato Eaters. Next to that, you receive lots of information on this specific painting, about Vincent van Gogh and much more. Your guide has made an entire exposition on this specific painting in the past and the artwork has many interesting stories to it. After all, Vincent declared this piece to be “the best I ever made”. Also, you will visit the Park, the original place of Vincent’s workshop, the Potato Eaters sculpture, and walk De Berg road to the old mill, in order to arrive at the very spot the Potato Eaters was painted in 1884. Then, the tour leads to the village of Gerwen, to visit the church and the cemetary were his favourite painting model Sien de Groot is buried. You will most certainly enjoy this hiking tour and its great views on te road.
